Fine Art & Wine Festival

Location: Brandenburg Park

The Red River Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the 6^th Annual Fine Art & Wine Festival, Father’s Day weekend, June 20-21, 2009 in Brandenburg Park.  Come experience the picturesque town of Red River while tantalizing your taste buds with fine wines and delicacies.

This event features both silent and live auctions, fine art, pottery, photography, and live music.  Black Mesa Winery, Santa Fe Vineyards, Tularosa Vineyards, Ponderosa Valley Vineyards, Falcon Meadery & Winery, Wines of the San Juan, and St. Clair Vineyards will all be here this year.

 

Tasting tickets and a commemorative wine glass are only $10.00 for the weekend.

Gabrielle Louise, an incredible vocalist and musician from Denver, will be performing in the park on Saturday, June 20th.

Allison Brunson is our resident “wine expert” for the weekend and will be speaking about the featured wines at the progressive dinner.  “Alli” began her career at Momentitos de la Vida in Taos as the wine steward in 2001.  After a brief stint at the Bavarian Restaurant in Taos Ski Valley, Alli traveled to Australia to study wine abroad.  Upon her return she worked under Ken Collura at El Monte Sagrado in Taos and was responsible for developing a Wine Spectator award-winning wine list in 2005.  From there she moved to Santa Fe to become an on-premise wine specialist for Southern Wine & Spirits.  Alli now lives in Red River with her husband, Jeff, and her daughter, Scarlett.

 

Alli is a certified sommelier through the Court of Masters and is looking forward to helping you enjoy your experience at Red River’s Fine Art & Wine Festival!

 

New this year: A progressive wine dinner that will take place Saturday evening.  The dinner will start at The Sundance Restaurant, then move along to Capo's Corner, Timbers, and finish at the Onota Bakery & Coffee Haus.  Transportation will be provided by the Red River Miner's Transit.  This dinner has limited seating and tickets are $50 per person.  Please call the Red River Chamber of Commerce to purchase tickets.
