Hot Chili Days, Cool Mountain Nights
Location: Music venues throughout town Thursday - Saturday. Cook-off at Brandenburg Park Saturday 9am - 4pm.
Larry Joe Taylor's "Hot Chili Days, Cool Mountain Nights" Music Festival & Cook-off, featuring the "Red River Red" CASI Chili Cook-off, the "New Mexico State Green Chile Championship," and a Lone Star BBQ Society Cook-off

This three day event combines live music all weekend with Larry Joe Taylor & Friends, then multiple cook-offs in the park on Saturday 8/15. Music venues all over town like the top of the mountain, along the Red River, Brandenburg Park, and the historic Motherlode Saloon. Three-day wristbands for all music venues and entry into the cook-off are $42 and come with a commemorative lanyard. Tickets for individual music events are $7-$12 each. Saturday's cook-off consists of the following categories:
CASI "Red River Red" & NM State Green Chile Championship Registration
Lone Star BBQ Society Cook-off Registration
Salsa & Open (People's Choice) Registration
Interested in judging CASI, Green Chile, or BBQ? Email us!

CASI, Green Chile, and LSBS winners will be determined by a panel of judges. All other categories will be judged by "Peoples Choice" ballots at the event. If you are a chili cook that uses propane, please read the New Mexico rules and regulations here. There will be a propane inspector on site Saturday morning to monitor propane use.
Vendors are welcome at the cook-off Saturday. Vendor space is $75 for a 10' x 10' booth. You must be selling chili, BBQ, chile, or a related product. If you have questions on if your product is eligible or if you'd like to become a vendor, contact Holly at (877) 885-3885 or info@redriver.org.
